Annex Cat Rescue held a photo contest among our volunteers to select the six cats featured on our Purrrfect Gifts cards. If you would like to request a specific card for your gift recipient, please include the cat’s name in the “Message/Instructions for Annex Cat Rescue” box in Canada Helps, or send an email to email@example.com.

Earl is an accident-prone cat with a big heart and an even bigger purr. He loves to chase invisible mice, to hide toys in his guardians’ shoes, and to curl up in a warm human lap or with his big sister and fellow ACR cat Audrey. Earl was adopted by ACR Volunteer Carolyn McNeillie & Megan McMonagle.

Felicity had the good sense to be born under the front deck of one of ACR’s first volunteers. As such, she and her extended feline family became one of the first colonies managed by ACR. Thanks to TNR and regular feeding and monitoring, Felicity lived to be nearly 18; ACR’s oldest feral cat. She passed away in 2012 in the laneway where she had lived her entire life and is greatly missed.

ACR took Flurry in at eight months – she was pregnant and lost or abandoned, and at the bottom of the pecking order in the colony she was hanging out in. After her kittens were born, she was adopted by an ACR foster volunteer who thinks she’s the most amazing little cat in the world. She’s super friendly and greets everyone by jumping right into their laps. Who knows what may have happened to her if ACR hadn’t found her.

Gingerale was a feral kitten taken in at the tender age of four months and tamed by an ACR volunteer. He now has a nice cozy home with a warm radiator to sleep against. He plays with his older brother Riki, and hides from his older sister Gizmo, who are also ACR rescues.

Jules was one of a litter of six kittens born in the spring of 2013. Her mom, Sapphire, was rescued just in time to give birth safely in her foster home. Jules has always been an incredibly friendly, warm little sweetheart. She loves to pose for pictures!

Mabelline was rescued from a high-kill shelter and ACR is thrilled to have saved such a delightful cat. She is playful, and at times can be mischievous. She loves humans and has a great time pestering her fellow foster felines. Mabelline is an incredibly loving cat who can’t wait to snuggle up on your lap or beside you in bed. She’s simply irresistible!
