Happy Tail: Pip Squeak (formerly Snookie)

One of the benefits of staying in touch with friends after high school? Cats. At least that’s how it worked for Christie, who was able to bring the adorable Pip Squeak (formerly Snookie) into her home thanks to a longtime friend.

“Michelle C. is a good friend of mine from high school, she fosters cats for Annex Cat Rescue.  My daughter and I will visit when she has kittens,” Christie says. “Michelle called me one day to tell me about this adorable little adult boy cat named Snookie that we really needed to see.”

Michelle was caring for Snookie/Pip Squeak after he had been trapped downtown. “It didn’t take long at all to find out that he was the sweetest little guy with a super easygoing personality,” Michelle says. “He was great with other cats and people alike.”

His sweet personality made Michelle think he’d be a good fit for Christie, especially after an adoption had already fallen through. “Michelle told us he was very vocal and was surrendered back for that reason, but it just came across to us as so much personality!”

Christie already had a dog and a cat at home, but they took to Pip Squeak quite quickly. In fact, Pip Squeak got his new name thanks to their older cat, T-Rex.

“This little guy looks just like our older and very large cat, T-Rex. In fact, they are almost twins but for their size difference,” Christie explains. “So, we decided on Pip Squeak for the little guy. Pip for short.”

Pip is still a vocal cat, but Christie and her family love him for it. He, T-Rex and dog Ginger all get along great, and Pip is now right at home with his forever family.
